Function "Login with Google Apps accounts"

Questetra BPM Suite upgraded to October 2009 version today. From this upgraded version, the login function using Google Apps accounts became normal function instead of beta version.

This function uses OpenID technology. OpenID is a technology that enables the use of various services on the Internet with just one ID.

If you login using this function in Questetra BPM Suite, you will be moved to the login screen for Google Apps. After authentication with Google Apps, you will be asked if it's all right to send email address information to Questetra BPM Suite. Please select "yes" for this question.

Then you are automatically authenticated in Questetra BPM Suite, and you will see the Questetra top page. For this function, the same email account must be registered in both Google Apps and Questetra BPM Suite.

The advantage of this is that, users only need to remember a password for Google Apps; it's not necessary to do so separately for Questetra BPM Suite.

今日、Questetra BPM Suite が、October 2009 にメジャーバージョンアップしました。
今回のバージョンより、「Google Appsアカウントを用いたログイン機能」がベータ機能から正式機能に変わっています。

この機能は OpenID の技術を利用しています。
OpenIDとは「インターネットのいろいろなサービスをたった一つのIDだけで利用可能にする」ための技術です。

Questetra BPM Suiteでこの機能を使ってログインしようとすると、いったんGoogle Appsのログイン画面に遷移します。
Google Appsの認証に成功すると、Questetra BPM Suiteにメールアドレスの情報を渡してよいか質問されますので、
ここで「はい」を選択します。

すると自動的にQuestetra BPM Suiteの認証にも成功し、ログイン後のトップページが表示されます。
Google Appsアカウントと同じメールアドレスのアカウントが、Questetra BPM Suite上に存在することが条件です。

ユーザとしてはGoogle Appsアカウントのパスワードを覚えておけば良い、Questetra BPM Suiteのパスワードを別に覚える
必要がないというメリットがあります。
