BBQ on the shores of Lake Biwa / 琵琶湖の湖畔でバーベキュー

Using the recent three day holiday in Japan (health & Sports Day weekend), we held a BBQ party at Lake Biwa.
Members consisted of staff, family and associates of our company, making it a pretty large and merry party.

Some of us took the challenge of bicycling around Lake Biwa (about 150 km?) and were entirely exhausted.

Lake Biwa—or Biwako—is the biggest lake in Japan, situated in Shiga Prefecture, which is adjacent to Questetra's Kyoto Prefecture.
The development code of the very first version of Questetra BPM Suite was Biwako.
It's a lake near to the heart of many Japanese people. (Or maybe only in the Kansai area?)

There are many historic castles and battle grounds around the shores of Lake Biwa, and it's a great spot for sightseeing.

琵琶湖の湖畔でバーベキュー

「体育の日」の三連休を利用して、琵琶湖の湖畔でバーベキューをしました。
メンバーは、Questetraの社員や関係者とそのファミリーで、結構な大人数で盛り上がりました。

何人かは琵琶湖一周サイクリング（150kmくらい？）に挑戦して、ヘロヘロになっていました。

琵琶湖はQuestetraのある京都府のお隣、滋賀県にある日本最大の湖です。
Questetraが開発しているQuestetra BPM Suite の初期バージョンの開発コードも"Biwako"でした。
日本人（関西人？）には親しみ深い湖なのです。

湖畔には、歴史にまつわる城や古戦場が点在しているので、是非ゆっくり観光してみたい場所です。
