New Feature -Discussion Data Type- / 新機能 -掲示板型-

We add a new data type in the next version (Apr-2009, scheduled) of Questetra BPM Suite. The new data type is a "Discussion" data type. A Discussion data type stores text data like a String data type. It doesn't allow to edit the text data but allow to add new text to the end of the text data.

When you edit text of String data type in executing a task, the old text is replaced with your new text. It is suitable for correcting another user's report but not suitable for recording a discussion by many users, because a user can delete other users' comments. A Discussion data type is suitable in this case, as a user can add comments without deleting others.

2009年4月ごろに公開予定の次のQuestetra BPM Suiteのバージョンでは、掲示板型という新しいデータタイプが追加されます。これは、文字型と同じく文章を保存するデータタイプですが、文字型とは違って保存した文章を編集することはできず、代わりに、新しい文章を末尾に追加することだけができます。

今ある文字型は、タスク実行時に編集すると、元の文章を置き換えるという動きをします。これは、ある人が書いた報告書を別の人が修正するというような用途には適しているのですが、関係者での議論を記録するというような用途においては、前に編集された内容を削除してしまう可能性があるため使いづらいです。掲示板型では、以前に編集された内容を失うことなく文章を追加していくことができるので、議論を記録するような用途に適しています。
