Super Networking Event @Kyoto / 超交流会 @京都

Each human is a node.
Two connected nodes become an edge.
Using this model, I looked at human society. I found 6 billion nodes and some hundred billion edges drawn on this globe.

Of course, I am not saying that nodes with few edges are unhappy.
There is a logic, "Quality over quantity."
However, I personally feel like we can do more things if we become acquainted with friends of friends.

An event called "Super Networking Event" will take place in Kyoto on July 19.
This intersection for exchanges is based on business people that are alumni of Graduate School of Informatics at Kyoto University but it also welcomes business people and students.

As a matter of fact, I am the godfather of this event.
We hope that you will be joining us.

人間一人ひとりは“点(node)”だ。
人と人との繋がりは“線(edge)”だ。
このモデルを使って人類社会を俯瞰したら、地球儀上に「60億の点」と「数千億の線」が描かれる。

無論「接続線の少ない“点”は不幸」とは言わない。量より質と言う論理もある。
ただ「知人の知人」を「自分の知人」にする事が出来れば、“人生において出来る事”が増えるような気が、私はする。

京都で「超交流会」(7/19)なるイベントがある。
京大情報学ビジネスマンを中核に、一般社会人・一般学生を含めた“交流の場”だ。
何を隠そう名付け親は私だったりする。
